The Kyoto Research Park "KRP" is a huge research park close to JR Tambaguchi station. It is a subsidiary of Osaka Gas. The first Building was built on land originally used for a big Gas Plant in the late 1980's. Following continous expanding it has 9 buildings (2 in planning). Since the inception the organizers try to combine Government, Industry and Education, thus there are representers of all sections on the ground.

The main areas of expertise are Medical Research and Internet Services.

Note: Even though the KRP is close to the JR Station. The commute between JR Kyoto and JR Tambaguchi is tedious. The 15 minute walk from Hankyu Omiya station is not a bad idea.
